International Early intervention and prevention in mental health association

Marie-Odile Kreb

Marie-Odile Krebs, MD, PhD is Professor In Psychiatry at University of Paris. She heads the Pôle Hospitalo Universitaire ‘Evaluation, Prevention and Therapeutic Innovation‘ in the GHU Paris Sainte-Anne and a research team (LPMP) in the IPNP (UMR 1266 Inserm, Université Paris Descartes) as well as a national collaborative consortium (www.institutdepsychiatrie.org, CNRS GDR3557). She co-authored more than 400 original articles (H factor 66). Her team develops interdisciplinary researches exploring the interactions of the early genetic and developmental vulnerability with post-natal brain maturation and environmental factors (stress, cannabis) during the onset of psychiatric disorders, using various approaches (genetic, neuroimaging, deep phenotyping and animal models). She pioneered the field of biomarkers predictive of progression from prodromes to disease and early detection/intervention in France. She coordinated the Nationwide RHU PsyCARE (PIA) project that will promote innovative strategies for implementing early and personalized care.

Field of expertise:

·       gene environment interactions in the context of neurodevelopmental vulnerability and post-natal brain maturation

·       omics (genomic, epigenomic, lipidomic) and deep phenotyping (phenomic) predictive biomarkers

·       preventive and personalized interventions in early psychosis, and along the neurodevelopmental continuum
