| Jaco Rossouw Jaco Rossouw (PhD) is an Extraordinary Senior Lecturer and researcher in the Department of Psychiatry of Stellenbosch University and a Clinical Psychologist with 30-years clinical experience at the Centre for CBT in Cape Town, South Africa. He is an Associate Fellow of the Albert Ellis Institute, NYC. Jaco’s research focus is on task-shifted trauma-focused psychosocial interventions for the treatment of PTSD within low- and middle income settings across the age range. He is active in providing training to students and professionals in CBT within South Africa. In carrying a large clinical case load he brings clinical experience to the research projects he is involved in. He is an academic and clinical member of CBTASA and the scientific chair for the first CBTASA Academy CBT congress in South Africa. Jaco is passionate about improving access and early access to treatment for PTSD and other trauma-related conditions and continually seeks opportunities to collaborate in advancing this goal within an South-African and African context through looking at implementation models, stepped care and different delivery models. |
