The Department of Psychiatry at McGill University and the Douglas Research Centre are currently inviting applications for a full-time Assistant Professor (Research) in the field of Youth Mental Health with an emphasis on community-based and patient-oriented approach. This can include expertise in participatory research and qualitative methods to study the experience of youth facing mental illnesses. The successful applicant will hold an academic appointment as a member of the Contract Academic Staff. This position does not confer eligibility for tenure.
Qualifications and Education requirements:
Applicants must:
- Have a PhD in any area of Health Sciences, Neuroscience or a related field and have completed advanced postdoctoral training;
- Demonstrate evidence of strong research productivity and the ability to attract competitive funding in a neuroscience field with relevance to Youth Mental Health
- Have a demonstrated commitment to – and, in accordance with circumstances, a track record in – equity, diversity, and inclusiveness (EDI);
- Have a working knowledge of French or a commitment to acquiring it within a few years of appointment.
